Spotting the Signs of Baby Teething
A teething baby isn’t usually a happy baby. Unfortunately, during the first couple of years of their lives, they’re almost constantly teething. This makes it difficult to tell whether your child has a new tooth coming in or whether something else is wrong. To help you out, here are some of the signs that a new tooth is about to make an appearance in your baby’s mouth.
Teething and colds have a lot of the same symptoms, so keep a close eye on the situation. As the teeth are pushing their way up, they can cause pressure on the ear canals and sinuses. This can cause cold symptoms to occur. These symptoms can be as mild as a runny nose or as extreme as a full blown ear infection.
Some people aren’t aware that baby teething can lead to ear infections. Ear infections can be a result of the new teeth causing pressure to the baby’s ear canal. Then fluid backs up and gets infected. An ear infection will need to be treated as soon as possible to prevent any permanent damage to the ear drum.
Likewise, your child may develop a fever during the teething process. However, you should be aware that normal teething will not result in a high fever. If your baby develops a high fever at any time, don’t ignore it. There could be a chance that either an ear infection or sinus infection has developed. You’ll need to take your baby to its pediatrician to be examined and see if a prescription is in order.
When your little one is teething, there will be several other symptoms you can look for. For example, red cheeks usually accompany this process. You might notice that one cheek is red and the other is normal; chances are the new tooth will emerge on the side that’s red.
Excessive drooling is one more symptom of teething. Babies are always drooling anyway, but when they’re teething it becomes extreme. You might even find that you have to change your baby’s clothes frequently because of the excessive drooling.
Teething can also be the explanation for unexplained, sustained periods of crying and misery. Excessive crying is one of the hardest teething symptoms to deal with. This is usually accompanied by difficulty sleeping. These behaviors can be very hard on both of you.
Most sources of baby advice recommend giving your child a carefully measured dose of infant pain reliever to provide some relief. However, discuss the situation with your doctor before administering any medications, even over the counter ones.

The promised review must not be an excuse for civil service prevarication – the welfare of children has to come first Nothing in my 30 years’ experience of being a children’s doctor prepared me for my first visit to Yarl’s Wood immigration removal centre (IRC) in 2005, soon after becoming children’s commissioner. Using the power given to me by parliament to enter any premises other than a child’s home to interview any child, I asked to be treated as a newly arrested child and to follow their journey through the prison. I saw a bewildered 10-year-old, smartly dressed in his school uniform alongside his distraught mother – they had been snatched from their home in a “dawn raid”. He asked if his friends knew where he was, worried about his belongings, and didn’t understand what had happened to him, even though I was told he would be deported the next day. I passed through barred and locked doors where even babies had their nappies searched by prison-like officers, keys a-jangling;…
My little one had it done around 2 months. There are very few side effects with the dye, if the baby has an allergy they will be able to tell almost immediately. But don't worry, it is a rather safe procedure.
Good luck getting people behind this one. Though you make some VERY fascinating points, youre going to have to do more than bring up a few things that may be different than what weve already heard. What are trying to say here? What do you want us to think? It seems like you cant really get behind a unique thought. Anyway, thats just my opinion.

so sad cuz when they learn to walk and you try to get them they kick and scream "down, down"
LOL gotta love em….
I think it can happen at any age. There is a product called simply "Teething Tablets" you can buy them at Wal-mart around the vitamins, they are all natural and they were a life saver for us. Worked better than anything. They are a tiny tablets and dissolve right away. Rub one right on his gum and it will help. I dont know about giving them to a 2 month old my kids were the opposite and only had 2 to 3 teeth at one, but if its all natural I think it would be fine.
thanks. he is a smash-a-holic.
Just bought a ton of teething stuff for him. Hope they help.
