Baby name meaning,is it really that important?

I know a guy named Leroy.Now the meaning of Leroy is “king” but he is hardly a king.In fact he never completed high school,he failed ninth grade two times and then just dropped out.I don’t even think he ever completed his education.Therefore i don’t think name meanings effect your child’s life that much.

Don’t get me wrong,it is a good idea to have a nice or positive name meaning but i don’t think it will change the course of a life.

This is a stupid question but whatever.
I was just looking at unisex name questions and people just totally bash my name [Hunter]. And I was just wondering if you were a teacher or person that just met me would you totally bash my name like the people on the net do?

Just wondering.
Do people act like they do in real life concerning baby names.
Like if you sister was going to name her daughter Hunter, would you tell her “That name deserves to be on a dog, not a baby!”.
