Questions And Answers On Adopting A Baby From Mexico

Steve asks…
Celebrity adopting baby from Mexico?
I caught the end of a radio show today stating that a 27 year old celebrity was adopting a baby from Mexico. Does anyone know who this is?

Baby Talk answers:

Wayne asks…
Has anyone adopted (a baby) from Mexico?
I really want to adopt a baby! I want to adopted from Mexico. My husband is Mexican (from a very poor part) he was lucky enough to come here when he was 4 so he had a better chance. we know the culture and language!! I want to give a baby a better life here then they could have there! how do we go about adopting from Mexico???? and how much would it cost??

Baby Talk answers:
I personally have not adopted from Mexico, but you have to be sure to research the agency thoroughly. Some babies have actually been stolen from their mothers in order to supply foreigners with infants.
I can’t really tell you much about the process other than you will have a home study as in any other adoption. My Aunt’s friends who adopted from Mexico were still Mexican citizens, so the process may actually be a little easier for you than for most other folks if your husband has not yet been naturalized. The paperwork to get the child into the US is still just as complicated, however. Good luck!

John asks…
does anyone how much it cost to adopt a baby from mexico?

Baby Talk answers:
Mexico is quite restrictive on international adoptions. The government requires proof that the parents have relinquished all rights to the child, and the govt has to approve all adoptions. Given the corruption in Mexico, you might eventually find the right official at the right price (tho that is no guarantee of final approval), in addition to attorney fees, etc. Not a good choice.

Graham asks…
Adopt a baby from Mexico? Hard?
I was born in Oaxaca, MX, moved to the US at age 3, became a US resident and then got married to a US Citizen. Due to health reasons (mainly diabetes) it is dangerous for me to try and conceive a child. We would love to adopt a baby in mexico, but am unsure of the process. Doing some research now, but would appreciate any insight. Also i am 24 and my husband is 37.
This is in responce to Aloha Girl.
Actually many mexican kids(as they get older do want to come to america) where they know that they will get a better future.
This child will be raised with the mexican culture as well as the american.
This child will like tamales as well as sphagetti(which is Italian i know) America is built as a melting pot, this child will also have chinese food, viatnamese food, so that is a moot point.
As far as the culture does, she will celebrate christmas and Dia de los Ninos.
This child will know spanish as well as english and french(took 4 yrs of french)
This child will know his origins and will be blessed to be able to enjoy not only the Mexican way of life but the american.

Baby Talk answers:
I should think with you coming from Mexico that you have a good chance.
My friends, who spent a while looking to adopt from various countries before they got their son, used this website. Http://mexico.adoption.com/

I am a citizen of UK. I worked with the missionary in the UK before my husband died.So i was sent to Cameroon were i finally lost my job because i was not regular in attendance to my job because of my baby’s health due to the climatic conditions.More still my passport got missing and things became more rough and i could not return to Britain. When things became worst i had to go stay with my Parish Pastor since i was unable to pay my house bills. He welcome me but his wife does not, this make me know that she does not love me because when the pastor always leave the state for seminars she always treats me badly.Am giving out my baby due to the following;cause i cannot take good care of him;the climatic condition here is not good for him because it makes him sick. Please will love to give out my baby to a loving caring and God fearing family;Hope to read from you and know more about you. I will want it legal.Stay blessed.email reiny_pearly@yhaoo.com
