Your local library should have a large selection of kids books to choose from. If they do not, they may be able to borrow from other libraries, even from out of state libraries.

Choosing the most appropriate books to start your toddlers off with can be a tough job. You need tochoose suitable books that are also fun to read so that your kids will not get bored and will want to read more. At your library, you are likely to find books that are age appropriate for your children and those that your children should not read. For toddlers or babies, board books are ideal. Board books are often small books that are made of cardboard. They can withstand rough handling and can withstand being thrown around. Their pages can also be quite easy to clean because many of them are glossy. There are many board books in stores and they can sell for cheap. Board books often have colorful pages and simple stories with few words so that babies and toddlers can get used to reading even when they cannot read yet.
