Baby Names And What Not To Call Them
Having a baby must be the most exciting thing you can ever do but it does cause some major changes in your life and it gives you a whole new set of problems to worry about.
Of all the worries a baby brings one of the more pleasurable is choosing a name for your baby. Selecting names that might be suitable is made much easier if you already know the sex of your child before the birth. If you don’t you will need to make a list of possible names for both boys and girls.
Each year the favorite names seem to change and a popular name could be much less so twelve months down the line. If you select a very popular name when your child goes to school they may find they have several friends all with the same name.
Film stars and celebrities seem to choose very unusual names for their children but living such exclusive lives means their children have no problems with that. Unusual names at a regular school can lead to problems for your child with their school friends making fun of their name.
When you are choosing baby names look at what the initial letters of the name might spell out. Some initials could spell out something that will cause problems for your child ‘sad’ for instance.
Remember that a name will be with your child for life so you should spend all the time you need to find the right name that you and your partner feel will be right for your child. Some parents do find their child chooses a different name when they become an adult because they have hated having the name their parents gave them when they were born.
Choosing baby names should be fun so don’t get too uptight about it all and relax and have some fun while you choose. It will be helpful to discus with your partner which names you like and why and ask what they like too. Talk about why you prefer some names so you both understand each others point of view when it comes to selecting baby names.
